You will find we are a small church with a big heart.  We are a family of believers worshiping in a casual atmosphere.  We invite you to join us for worship service on Sunday mornings at 10:15 AM for our acapella worship service.  Drop by - get to know us and let us get to know you.

First we want to thank you for choosing to visit Providence Road Church.  It can be uncomfortable walking into a church when you don’t know anybody.  We hope to make you feel right at home.

We are a come as you are church.  Casual dress is the norm.  When you walk in, greeters will welcome you and answer any questions you may have.  An usher will offer you a copy of our weekly bulletin and help you in finding a seat in the auditorium, if you wish.  A fully staffed nursery is available if you have infant children.

Our worship service includes acapella singing and weekly communion for baptized believers.  After this we have our weekly lesson.  Following this we have an invitation song, during which anyone is invited to respond for prayer, baptism or church membership.

Announcements, a song and closing prayer complete our service.  But please don’t rush off!  We'd love to visit with you and answer any questions you might have.  Don't be surprised if someone invites you to lunch before you make it out the door!

    Our Statement of Faith

    We believe that

    1.  There is the only one true and living God, without beginning and without end.  He is creator and sustainer of the universe who created humankind in His own image and has revealed Himself through nature and the Bible as a loving and holy God.  He is our Heavenly Father through Jesus Christ our Lord and it is our supreme duty to love Him with all our heart, soul, mind and strength.

    2.  Jesus of Nazareth was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary as the unique Son of God.  His is the story of God becoming flesh.  He lived a sinless life, which He voluntarily gave on the cross as a sacrifice for the sin of the world.  He was resurrected from the dead by the power of God through the Holy Spirit.  He now reigns in Heaven at the right hand of God the Father and will one day return to judge the living and the dead.

    3.  The Holy Spirit is the divine Comforter/Counselor sent by God to convict sinners and guide Christians into truth, to intercede for them in prayer and to gift them for Christian living and ministry.

    4.  The Bible is the inspired, inerrant, Word of God and His authoritative revelation in all matters pertaining to faith, doctrine and Christian living.

    5.  Salvation is God’s way of bringing people back into a right relationship with Him and was accomplished through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  It is freely offered to all and is received by faith in Christ, which is demonstrated by repenting of sins, confessing Jesus as Lord and Savior, receiving believer’s baptism, and the progressive dedication of life as a disciple of Jesus Christ.

    6.  The church is the family of believers called to worship and work in loving service to God and to others.  Its true membership directory is known only to God, who adds the saved to His church.  Jesus Christ is the head of the church, which is His body.  The church is to be the presence of Christ in the world today.  As the body of Christ, it is our prayer to have the eyes of Jesus to see people as He sees them, the heart of Jesus to feel for people what He feels for them, the mouth of Jesus to speak the words that He would speak, the hands of Jesus to touch people as He would touch them, and the feet of Jesus to go where He would go.
